A Postcard from Switzerland

Hey Ontario!
I was pleased to open my mailbox this morning and receive a postcard from Silvio, an intern who spent 6 months in Ottawa last year working with IBM. Silvio was a direct match who had no real AIESEC involvement before coming to Ottawa, but was extremely involved with our LC and had the time of his life once he got here. For those of you who had the opportunity of meeting 'my' interns (my kids!) last year, you know how wonderful they were.
Silvio went on to work for an amazing IT consulting firm in Switzerland, and he thanks his AIESEC experience for helping him get the great job he has now. Here is what Silvio had to say in the postcard:
'Hey Emily!
Impossible to believe that its been almost a year now since I've left Ottawa in bitter-cold winter. I still look back often to these amazing 6 months in Canada, the parties, the trips, the AIESEC conferences, but most importantly all the nice people I had the chance to meet and get to know. You all made me feel at home and I strongly hope to see you again, maybe this year in May when I come to North America, or maybe you come over for a trip to Europe! I wish you all the best for 2006, in your studies and in AIESEC and I wish you a lot of new kids (from all over the world :) ).
All the best
Silvio'
Just wanted to share that with you guys. The postcard is now posted on my fridge, reminding me every day how what we do really does have an impact on people :)
