Update from TO!
Hey my sexy O-LCP currents and O-LCP-elects (and super sexy O-RVP)! Ontario is hot stuff these days! I'm so proud of everyone and the excitement generated after NC has been incredible. I'm so happy to be "recoming"! I just can't get enough. I had to jump on the blogging train as soon as Assman told me about it! I wanted to share with you some of the exciting things happening in Toronto, mostly in the realm of exchange, which is near and dear to my heart!
First of all, on Wednesday we welcomed our new intern, Lukas (from Switzerland) to Toronto. Oddly enough, we only had females greeting him at the airport... but I'm sure he didn't mind!
More 'intern servicing' photos!
Amazing photos from Abid, working with TCS through the India partnership!
Chris, a wonderful SN of ours, just returned from his internship in Izmir, Turkey. One of the first e-mails he wrote to us about how different AIESEC in Izmir is... (err, just substitute INTERNS for 'trainees'!)
AIESEC Izmir's quite large here, they have regular socials and it seems to be a big priority for everyone. I was surprised by how big it was, they have about 16 trainees here now and are expecting 30 in August... I don`t know how they expect to accomodate everyone. It was then though I realized AIESEC Izmir is a combination of 5 schools not 1 like AIESEC Toronto. But with so many trainees it is hard to get any help and thus far I have recieved the most help from other trainees. But pretty soon I will be an older trainee and I will probably have to

And he's now back in TO, doing a cultural presentation, and has offered to be a panelist for our upcoming Review Board! Whoo hoo!
And from Gabby in Croatia...
It was nice to get an update from everybody around the globe. I will be finishing work by the end of this month and start traveling for a bit and will be back in Toronto by March. I've been changing and postponing my return date several times already but this time for real I'm coming home. It's been quite an adventure the past 6 months. The whole culture shock curve was sooooo true. I was extremely excited when I first got to Croatia, then I wanted to get the heck out of there after 2 months, but I stuck around and now I am absolutely in love with this country. I was scared I like it too much and not wanted to come home. I'm also gonna try to learn some Croatian dishes and hopefully I can make you guys some kickass food. -- Gabby Yung, January 2006
And from our loveable Ersan in Paris, France!

And from our loveable Ersan in Paris, France!
I am in Paris as many of you know. Life is good. French are interesting people but Paris is overtaken by Erasmus, AIESEC, SWAP, foreign exchange students, you name it. It is like a big Auberge Espagnole here, if you have not see the movie go and see it because it is exactly like that. I believe it was a good thing that I am here. I am enjoying it, probably like most of you guys who did an internship. It has its moments of dissappointment but usually it is good. And the thing with "ooohhh I have made so many friends there" is actually true. One sees friends and friendships, one learns...one lives. One other thing vine is cheap in Paris everything else is expensive as hell. Mo I will keep in mind your suggestions, do not worry. But French girls are mainly crazy about you so it is very hard to make them forget. All the AIESECers of Toronto, we now have a mini chapter in Paris. Everyone is invited. -- Ersan Oksuz, January 2006
And hopefully I will get to visit him in Paris in February! Yay for global networks!
Ahh this makes me so excited! We have turned it up a notch in terms of marketing with our incredibly dedicated new VP CD, and I am so proud of everyone and looking forward to the coming months.
Wishing everyone all the best from Toronto, since we will not see most of you at OQ :( Have an incredible time and keep on creating life changing experiences for yourselves and others!
